Description
Repair of Upgraded Systems Test Bench (USTB), NSN 6625-01-448-7563EK, P/N 3454B61G01 and NSN 6625-01-448-5802EK, P/N 3454B61G02. Application: B-1 Aircraft. A requirements type contract will be issued for a period of 5 years, to include a one-year basic contract and 4 one-year options. Reparable assets are located on Government installations, and must be repaired on-site. Contract award date is estimated for 30 Jun 2005. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Please note that numbered notes 22 and 26 are applicable to this synopsis. 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five days (thirty days if award is issued under the existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. A sole source buy is anticipated to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Navigation Systems Division, Linthicum Heights, MD.
