This amended announcement is issued for t he purposes of corrections and clarifications to original announcement issued on 2/3/2005. Under paragraph 1. CONTRACT INFORMATION, 3rd sentence is corrected to read as follows: Architect-Engineer services are required for a Firm, Fixed-Price contract for an Operations Center on Fort Gordon, Georgia where users electronically process, generate, handle and store classified information. The following information is provided for CLARIFICATION PURPOSES: A Secret Facility Clearance is granted by the Defense S ecurity Service (DSS) and indicates certain key management personnel at that company have undergone appropriate background investigations. Separate from that is a determination from DSS that a given company with a facility clearance is authorized to store classified material at their location. The Government requires that any firm submitting qualifications for this acquisition CURRENTLY hold a DoD Secret Facility Clearance. If you do not currently have the required clearance your submission will be rejecte d. In response to questions concerning joint ventures and consultants. The prime contractor is responsible for security clearances for any consultants used. For joint ventures, only key personnel with proper clearances and a cleared facility will have acc ess to work requirements.
