- 30_GEAR, MAIN DRIVE; SOLICITATION POSTING APPROXIMATELY 03 Dec 2004. The solicitation number will be FA8104-05-R-0164. Closing date for quotations will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM 03 Jan 2005. Approved source(s) is (Cage 63005) Rolls-Royce Corporation, Indianapolis IN. This is a requirement for Qty of 15 Each, Noun: Main Drive Gear/Bull Gear; NSN: 3020-01-196-8937OJ, P/N: 6889361; Engine: T-56; Size/Dimension: 5 inches length, 3 inches wide, 5 inches high; Predominant Material: Steel Composition; Function: Main Drive Gear works with the bull gears to control the prop shaft within the Reduction Gearbox. This is an FMS requirement. Surplus items are acceptable. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336412. Required delivery schedule(s) is as follows: 20 ea, 30 April 2005. Written and electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. The solicitation must be printed from FedBizOps by the contractor. This office will not mail solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
