Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes ar e being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W81C39-5012-2403A is issued as Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-27 dated 01 Jan 05. This requirement is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 336120. You must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov/) in order to receive the aw ard if you are selected. If you are not in the CCR at the time we are ready to make the award, you will be disqualified. We prefer to make payment by VISA credit card, but will process DFAS-RI EFT payments. Award will be made to a single offeror. A Fir m Fixed Price type contract is anticipated. The requirement is for 1, 6 x 4 Sterling 8500 Cab and Chassis Truck. The Rear Axle is 34,000 lb and the Front Axle is 12,000 lb, with a GVWR total of 46,000 lb with the following options items (individual prici ng is required for each item): Front GAWR 16000 Lb; Air Filter Service Indicator; CA 167/171 IN; Traction Control Differential, Automatic; Driver Seat and Passenger Seat conform to DSS; Engine Hour Meter; Emergency Equipment, Extinguisher, and Triangles; Fuel Tanks, Min 100 Gal Total Cap; Mud & Snow Tread Tires (Rear Axles); Parts and Service Manual(s) printed; Rear Air Suspension; Spark Arrester, Exhaust System (w/Gasoline Engines Only); Rust proofing; Spare Tire Assembly; Tools, Hyd Jack, Wheel Wrench & Hndl; Setback Front Axle; Diesel Engine Min 310 GHP, 1050 Lb/Ft Torque, Turbocharged; 8LL Transmission ILO 13 Speed; Air and Elec to End of Frame; 180 CA 132 AF. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-3, FAR 52.212-4, FAR 52.212-5, FAR 52.232-33, FAR 52.232-36.
