Description

The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Contracing Activity plans to solicit Avon Protection Systems, Inc., 503 8th Street, Cadillac, MI 49601-9282, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) for Logistics Suppor t necessary for the fielding of the Joint Service General Purpose Mask (JSGPM). The proposed action, a modification to existing contract DAAD13-00-C-0021 shall require the contractor to provide spare and repair parts, update technical manuals, and provide training during the fielding of the JSGPM. The effort will be for a period of three years, and will be priced on a requiements as well as, an idefinite quantity/indefinite delivery type basis. The contract types used will be Firm-Fixed-Price and Cost-Plu s-Fixed-Fee. Note 22 applies. The proposed action is limited to one source since the government would incur a substantial duplication of costs that would not be recovered through competition if award was made to another firm.
