Description

Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material and equipment necessary to construct a Border Patrol station for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The station will include approximately 8,000 square feet of of fice building, 6,500 square feet of enclosed parking and industrial space, and 1,000 square feet of canopy space. Supporting facilities will include vehicle maintenance, facility support and marine operations facilities, approximately 100 square feet of o ffice, 6,000 square feet of enclosed parking and industrial facilities, and 300 square feet of canopy. The marine facility will include slips for eight boats, a boat launch ramp, parking and turn-around for boat trailers and a refueling facility that serv ices both the boats and Border Patrol vehicles. Additionally, the station will have a 60 foot square concrete helicopter pad. Included in the site is space for Coast Guard facilities. These facilities include berthing rooms, office space, parking and do cks. Bids received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated for best value to the Government in accordance with the following criteria listed in descending order of importance. 1) Past Performance; 2) Construction Project Management; 3) Subco ntracting Information; and 4) Price. All evaluation factors other than cost or price, when combined, are significantly more important than cost or price. The estimated magnitude in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1 ,000,000 and $5,000,000.
