Description

The US Coast Guard intends to negotiate a Sole Source Delivery Order Contract with Megapulse Incorporated, N. Billerica, MA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) ? Soliciting from a Single Source, for a Tailbiter Assembly (5 each) - P/N 03-17523-101; and a Megatron Charger Assembly (5 each) ? P/N 03-17305-101, for the 16 HCG Accufix 7500 Transmitter. The Coast Guard intends to award a sole source contract for these items, built as components of the Accufix 7500 Transmitter. Megapulse is the current transmitter supplier, and only Megapulse transmitter components will meet the Government?s need. Megapulse is the only source that can satisfy this requirement. A fixed price contract will be executed on or about March 14, 2005. All items are to be delivered to US Coast Guard Loran Stations Middletown, CA; George, WA; Dana, IN and Fallon and Searchlight, NV. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, in writing, no later than 12:00 PM March 11, 2005. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. Written responses to this notice shall be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this requirement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation nor is it a request for competition.
