Description
SOURCES SOUGHT--This announcement is posted as a Request For Information (RFI)only, for an upcoming solicitation that will be posted in FEDBIZOPPS at www.eps.gov. This RFI is issued to determine whether there are qualified sources that will be able to meet the requirement. The requirement is to package, remove, transport, and dispose of large quantities of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous products located in two (2) warehouses in Lexington, KY. The requirement to package, remove, transport, and dispose of large quantities of over the counter pharmaceutical products; powdered infant formula, and cleaning products including, but not limited to: Vani-Sol (concentrated window cleaner), Lysol cleaner, Rogaine Hair Regrowth Treatment, medications containing alcohol, etc. If you have an interest in the upcoming solicitation, please provide a written response to the questions below and provide your response to Carolyn Hendrick, Contract Specialist via e-mail at Carolyn.Hendrick@usdoj.gov. You are advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for this solicitation. The NAICS code is 562211 for this requirement, and the Small Business size standard is10.5 million dollars. All responses are due by March 18, 2005. Indicate your firm=s size and status of your organization: ____Small Business, ____Large Business, ____ 8a, ____Veteran-owned, ____Service Disabled Veteran-owned, ____HUBZone Small Business, ____Small Disadvantaged Small Business, ____Woman-owned Small Business, and ____Historically Black Colleges/Minority Institutions? What percentage of the work your firms? employees would perform and what percentage of the work would you subcontract. If subcontracting opportunities are available, do you anticipate subcontracting with ___small business, ___veteran-owned small business, ____service-disabled, ___women-owned small business concerns. Does your firm offer packaging, removal, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals to the public Does your firm provide packaging and shipping of chemicals in accordance with EPA & Department of Transportation Regulation? Is it customary for your firm to provide proper labeling, compilation of packing slips, completion of all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as applicable, listing materials packed in each container, according to Local, State and Federal Regulation? Is it customary for your firm to segregate chemicals as to compatibility, hazard class and disposal requirements? Does your firm possess a license to transport and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in incinerators? Does your firm possess all appropriate Environmental Insurance for these services? Does your firm currently have any Government contracts in place for similar services? Are you aware of any Laws and Regulations that are unique to the services being acquired? Does your firm possess the necessary licenses and permits to conduct business for these services in the State of Kentucky? Does your firm possess an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration and EPA Identification Number for these services? Is it customary to offer warranty, buyer financing, discounts, etc., under which commercial services you provided to the General Public? Would your company be interested in participating in this requirement? Would your firm be available to attend a Site Visit at both locations in Lexington, KY? End of Survey.
