Description
UNRESTRICTED  FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 441222 with a size standard of $6.0M. The term size standard describes the numerical definition of a small business. Contractor must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration prior to award of this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The work consists of constructing, with limited design, a new 42 ft Aluminum V-Hull Survey Boat/Vessel. The vessel shall comply with all current U.S. Coast Guard requirements with respect to a vessels function, construction and equipment. The vessel shall be newly manufactured and constructed entirely of alumi num from a current proven commercial design. The vessel is to be used as a survey/workboat in a salt water environment and shall reflect that type of construction inside and out. The vessel's hull shall be a planning mono deep-v design. The vessel shall have an elevated pilot house forward, a work cabin center, and a deck with engines room access aft, with walk space all around the outside. Visibility from the pilot house shall be as close as possible to 360 degrees. The pilot house and cabin shall eac h have a weather tight access door to the outside. The cabin shall have aluminum framed sliding windows on port and starboard sides. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment and engineering necessary to build the vessel. The vessel sha ll be of a current commercially available design, however, minor modifications to the design may be required by the specifications. Drawings of the cabins, decks, engine room, and all major equipment layouts will be provided by the contractor as part of the proposal. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Bidders must register on the website below in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments.
