- The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), at the request of the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and in support of National Security goals established by the President; intends to purchase from industry, a capability that will develop and deploy automated Spyware Detection, Eradication, and Protection (SDEP) solution(s) that will provide network administrators and security personnel with mechanisms to mitigate risks associated with spyware across all DOD networks and information systems. The SDEP solution(s) shall be the Enterprise-wide solution(s) across the ?Department of Defense (DOD) (Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community (non-Title 50 elements), Services, and DOD Agencies), Coast Guard, National Guard, and the Reserves? on all classifications of networks hereafter referred to as the ?ENTERPRISE?. All ?ENTERPRISE? owned and leased computers and networks are covered under this agreement, regardless of the persons operating the computer systems. Additionally, DOD government employees will be allowed to download and install this software for use on their personally owned computer systems. This is a notice that the government intends to satisfy this requirement by placing a task order under the existing Information Assurance (IASSURE) multiple award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. Information on this contract, including contract terms and conditions, ordering procedures and prime contractors can be found at http://www.disa.mil/acq/contracts/iachar.html. The IASSURE contract has 11 prime contractors and has the flexibility of the prime contractors being able to add subcontractors to their team at any time. Companies interested in becoming a subcontractor under the IASSURE contract should contact one of the 11 prime contractors directly. Point of contact for the companies can be found on the above IASSURE website. The IASSURE Request for proposal (RFP) is expected to be released on or about 21 March 2005. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This notice is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this notice.
