Description: The Army Contracting Agency The Americas, Mission Support Division, Fort Sam Houston Team intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation for freight transportation services of medical supplies and equipment from the USARSO Field Medical Training Sit e, Fort Sam Houston, Texas to selected locations in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean; and, from selected locations in Cental America, South America, and the Caribbean to the USARSO Field Medical Training Site, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Nor mal requirements consist of no more than 35 48x48x40 skid or pallets per trip. Refrigeration may be required to transport chilled veterinary pharmaceuticals during transport and during customs clearance. The instant awards will be for a twelve-month init ial contract period with one twelve-month option period. The Government intends to issue an Indefinate Delivery, Indefinate Quantity type contract(s). The solicitation will be issued on or about 28 March 2005 and available to be downloaded from the FedBi zOpps web page at www.fedbizopps.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued.
