Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Supply type Purchase Order with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) provisions on a Sole-Source basis to Hybricon Corporation, 12 Willow Rd., Ayer, MA 01432-1513 to obtain proprietary Hybricon Corporation RME21 Series VME rack chassis, QTY 4, developed solely by Hybricon Corporation. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to Hybricon Corporation using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 under the authority of USC 2304 (c)(1). The anticipated award date is 31 MAR 05. Delivery is FOB destination Newport,RI. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that RME21 Series VME rack chassis is a proprietary item to Hybricon Corporation. There are no substitutes available and no other vendors are approved for this rack. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
