Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistic Center intends to issue a solicitation and award a requirement type contract, with a base year and four (one) option periods for the purchase of a Engine Room Ventilation Fans for the 75? WLR & WLIC Class Coast Guard Cutters. The solicitation will be issued on a brand name or equal basis using the brand name American Fan Company. The following is the list of items that will be purchase: (1) Engine Room Ventilation Fan Bran Name: American Fan Company P/N 80JMG/25/4/6/26 or equal. The salient characteristics for this item is Fan, vaneaxial, marine grade, 80 JM, 10,900 CFM @ 2.25 inches water gage TP, 460 volt 3 phase 60 cycle, 10 HP, 2 speed/2 winding motor, 1770/875 RPM, mount vertical down. (2) Engine Room Ventilation Fan Brand Name: American Fan Company P/N 40JMG/16/2/5/14 or equal. The salient Characteristics for this item is Fan, vaneaxial, marine grade, 40JM, 2,900 CFM @ 1.0 inches water gage TP, 460 volt 3 phase 60 cycle, 3 HP, 2 speed/2 winding motor, 3550/1770 RPM, mount vertical down. In addition, the contractor will also be required to provide Data for Provisioning (DFP) and Engineering Documentation Package (EDP). Estimated quantity for the base year for item 1 will be 2 each per year and the estimated quantity for item 2 will be 4 each per year. The resultant contract is to be a requirements contract with a base and four option years. Delivery will be F.O.B. destination to the U. S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Bldg. 88, Baltimore, MD 21226. Delivery schedule for the fans shall be 45 calendar days after issuance of Delivery Order; The DFP shall be delivered 45 calendar days after award of contract and the EDP shall be submitted with the contractor?s quote. Any Contractor offering an ?or equal? shall be required to provide literature which addresses all salient characteristics. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOps on or about April 1, 2005. It is the contractor?s responsibility to check FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments issued.
