Description

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to acquire services on a sole source basis under authority of FAR 6.302 from Integrated Access Control Services, Inc. (IACS), 12906 Martingale Court, Bristow, Virginia. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire highly specialized professional services with expertise in the design, systems integration, installation, and maintenance of Security Systems; specifically, an Iris 3000 Hardware and Software security system. IACS, Inc. shall provide: 1) Hardware?equipment; 2) Warranty of equipment for 1st year; 3) Freight; 4) Installation Labor; 5) Administrative Labor; 6) In-House Fabrication and Presetting; and 7) Miscellaneous Materials (straps, togglers, screws, tie wraps, tape, etc.). IACS, Inc. is uniquely qualified to provide the above services; is a security company that specializes in the design, systems integration and installation and maintenance of security systems. The IACS, Inc. staff has more than 20-years of extensive knowledge of security technology; more than 16-years of in-field experience; and a reportedly high customer responsiveness. Additionally, IACS, Inc. is very familiar with the NLM operations and understands the electrical as well as the network infrastructure in house systems that is needed to support the Iris system. This familiarity and knowledge of the NIH/NLM equates to a faster repair time for the NLM. This service will be solicited using FAR Part 12 (Acquisitions of Commercial Items) procedures. This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available. However, all interested parties may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the NLM. The capability statement should demonstrate that the interested party is able to provide the professional technical services as specified above. Responses are required within 15 (fifteen) calendar days from the publication date of this notice. NLM synopsis No. 05-079-KCP shall be noted on all correspondence to this announcement.
