Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. RFQ 673-86-05 is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-02. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 333319. This solicitation is full and open. The VA intends to make a single award, firm fixed price. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous offer to the VA based upon price. Include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items, with the offer. The contract awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system at www.ccr.gov. REQUIREMENTS: The James A. Haley Veterans? Administration Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa Florida, requires a 1000-ton chiller including installation, and removal of existing destroyed unit at the facility. SCOPE: Remove and dispose of existing destroyed York chiller and starter. Provide and install new 1000 ton chiller. Install new medium voltage starter and cabinet. Tie existing chilled and condenser water piping into new chiller. Insulate new chiller chilled water heads with 1-1/2? foam insulation. Insulate disturbed chilled water piping with 2? foam glass insulation. Tie chiller relief valves into existing vent manifold. Install new wiring from new motor starter cabinet to oil pump motor and chiller motor. Install new wiring from main switch in electrical room to new chiller motor starter cabinet. Tie communications of new chiller into existing Carrier Data-Port module. Provide full R-134A refrigerant charge. Provide complete factory start-up of new chiller. Provide full first year factory parts and labor warranty. Provide all necessary required permits.
