Description
The Defense Contracting Command- Washington (DCC-W), on behalf of the Office of the Provost Marshall General, Headquarters, Department of the Army, intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis with Cross Match Technologies, INC, Palm Beac h Gardens, Florida, for the purchase of the Cross Match ID 1000 Automated Identification System with live scan software. This system has biometric capabilities combined with the Automated Biometric Information System to enable soldiers in the field to comp are biometric data against DoD and the Criminal Justice Information System. This system offers multi-lingual capability (English/Arabic) and multi-modal Biometrics (fingerprint, photo, iris, voice and signature). This system is DoD benchmark proven, compli ant to American National Standards Institute-National Institute Standards for technology (ANSI-NIST) and the Criminal Justice Information System-Electronic File Transfer System (CJIS-EFTS). This integrated system has been tested in theatre and meets the re quirement of being hardened and tested against the elements. The North American Industry Classification Code is 334119 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed contract action is for sup plies/equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested firms may submit ca pability statements within ten (10) days of the date of publication of this synopsis to Mark Brady, Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCC-W), Mark.Brady@hqda.army.mil. No telephonic submissions will be honored. Individual responses to this request f or information that may contain company proprietary information must be marked accordingly. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
