- AMENDMENT 1 -**REQUIREMENT MUST BE QUOTED AS FOB DESTINATION ** - ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME. - This is a combined/synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, FA4427-05-Q-0018, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-01 and Defense DCN 20050222. The solicitation listed here is 100% small business set aside. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) 5410. The associated Standard Classification (SIC) is 3448. The North American Industry Classification System is 332311 and the associated business size is 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and award this purchase order for the following item (SEE SPECIFICATIONS): Item 000: 1 EA - Portable Chemical Safety Building IAW attached specifications, Item 0002: 1 LO ? Shipping and Handling. QUOTE MUST PROVIDE ALL REQUIREMENTS AND FEATURES OF SPECIFICATIONS. FOB is Travis Air Force Base, CA. The following provisions or clauses apply to this acquisition. Ensure that environmental compliance requirements are met in securing place to store hazardous waste debris. SPECIFICATIONS ARE: One each building bi-directional, 2-hour fire rated, with explosion relief. Dimensions 20?L x 8?W x 9?H . Two sets of Double doors one at each end on the same side and on the long side. Dimensions 60?Wx 80?H 3 hour fire rated UL labeled. One each Load Center, single phase. Two Interior lights explosion proof, with 135-watt bulbs, switched by doors. Non-explosion proof. One each exterior light non-explosion proof, florescent with 28watt bulb located same side as doors. One each dry chemical fire suppression system with remote annunciation. Building to be equipped with a Static Grounding System. COLOR OF BUILDING: Interior to be gloss white. Exterior to be from federal standard 595b color number 17778. FEATURES: Factory Mutual System C'FM") Approved & labeled. Exterior Wall Construction to be Weatherproof, bi-directional, 2-hour fire-rating noncombustible construction, per Underwriter Laboratories ("UL") Fire Resistance Rating Design Number U425. With two (2) layers of UL Classified fire-resistive, gypsum wallboard fastened to the interior and exterior sides of steel studs. The interior and exterior surfaces consist of galvannealed steel sheets. Sump Wall Construction: Weatherproof 2-hour fire-rated noncombustible construction, utilizing interior & exterior continuously welded heavy gauge steel sheets for maximum spill containment protection. Roof/Ceiling Construction: Weatherproof 1-hourfire-rated noncombustible construction utilizing interior galvannealed steel sheets & continuously welded heavy gauge steel roof sheets for maximum durability and weather resistance. Roof/ceiling permanently attached to exterior walls, Explosion relief construction, panel(s) located on back wall. 60"W x 80"H, Three-hour fire-rated double door(s), UL classified & Labeled, equipped with UL Listed self-closer(s) and UL listed exterior security lock(s) with keyless interior safety release lever(s). Screened Air Vent(s) an Air inlet vent(s) to be equipped with UL Classified & Labeled 3-hour rated fire dampers with louvers & screens to provide airflow. Dampers have a galvanized steel frame, curtain-type galvanized steel blades, and a UL Listed 165?F fusible link. The building?s base constructed with open channel construction. The Building?s base height is to allow for clearance for forklifts and/or crane slings access, and to allow for under building inspections. Internal Spill containment capacity must be at a minimum 30% of total storage capacity for spill containment. Interior finish is to be High solids, chemical-resistant epoxy coating with a white aliphatic polyurethane topcoat. Exterior finish: High solids, chemical-resistant epoxy undercoat with an aliphatic polyurethane topcoat. Four (4) Hold-down Brackets (structural steel angles) for bolting to purchaser's foundation for seismic and wind load anchoring. Static Grounding System: One (1) exterior grounding connection, one (1) 10-foot long 5/8" diameter copper-clad steel grounding rod, one (1) #4AWG copper conductor, and grounding lug(s). . Wind Load: 110 mph, Exposure C, Floor Live load: 500 psf, Seismic Condition: Zone 4 or Performance Category E. DRY CHEMICAL FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM - UL Listed & FM Approved pre-engineered system rated for Class A, Band C Fires. Fusible link detection for automatic actuation required. Interior nozzle(s) for total flooding application shall be installed. One each exterior UL Listed weatherproof audible alarm (120V. 0.1A, 1-Phase) to be installed on same side of building ass doors. Dry chemical agent storage cylinder (tank) and releasing device housed inside an exterior tamperproof (key lockable) enclosure per the requirements of NFPA 17 (Standard for Dry Chemical Extinguishing Systems). System equipped with a means for remote annunciation. Interior lighting shall be UL-Listed explosion proof incandescent light fixture with a 135W lamp (120V. 1.25A, 1-Phase) rated for Class ?Division 1, Groups C & D, Hazardous Locations. Heavy-duty glass globe with a sealed heavy-duty aluminum housing and equipped with a protective metal guard equipped with an exterior UL Listed light switch (snap type) suitable for outdoor locations.
