- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT MS VIRGINIA (GINNY) HOLEMAN CLINICAL NURSE ANALYST AT 706-787-2019. POTENTIAL SOURCES ARE SOUGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE REGIONAL STANDARDIZATION OF SHARPS CONTAINERS. This FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY announcement is a notice that TRICARE Southeast Region which includes all DoD Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee are in the process of standardizing SHARPS CONTAINERS as listed in the subject line above. Companies who currently possess or are in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreements (DAPAs) with the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) for this product are eligible to participate in the standardization process. Please respond by email to: Virginia.holeman@se.amedd.army.mil and provide your company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax, email address, DAPA Number, Solicitation Number and answe rs to the below listed questions no later than the closing date of this solicitation. For questions, please call Ms Virginia (Ginny) Holeman at (706) 787-2019. 1. Does your company carry a full product line of Sharps Containers & Accessories? If so, what types, kinds, sizes, & colors? 2. Does your company manufacture or distribute this product? If so, what types and/or brands? 3. Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens& Minor? 4. What is your DAPA Number? 5. Under what standards is your product manufactured? 6. How are your products packaged? 7. Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group? If so please answer the following: a) Dates and duration, b) Cause, c) Resolution. 8. Can you provide customer support in the form of a sales representative for each and every Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) within the TRICARE Southeast Region? If so, can you provide a list upon request? 9. Do you provide Education Programs and 24 hour Clinical Support? 10. Do you have a company return goods policy? If so, what is it? 11. Do you provide quarterly utilization reports? 12. Do/Are your Containers: a) Translucent, b) Provide visibility of fill line and contents, c) Puncture resistant and leak proof, d) Tamper resistant with a secure closure, e) Have a clear/visible safety & bio-hazardous waste marking? 13. Do/Are your Lids: a) Provide safety features that prevent access to the contents inside of the containers, b) Have a counter-balance mechanism for automatic drop, c) Lock securely when full? 14. Do/Are your Wall Mounts: a) Have cabinets that are marked for bio-hazardous waste, b) Have a full line of wall holders, c) Provide for visibility of fill line and contents? 15. Are your products simple, easy to use, and require minimal training? Respondents must provide all written detailed information on the Sharps Containers, which clearly outline the requirements stated above before the close of business on the closing date of this solicitation.
