Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Northrop Grumman, Port Hueneme, CA 93044-4532, in support of the NP2000 West Coast Installs. This effort covers the removal of the Hamilton Sundstrand 54460 propeller system and installation of the Hamilton Sundstrand NP2000 Propeller System on the U.S. Navy E-2C & C2 aircraft. As the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the E-2 and C-2 aircraft and its associated wiring and mechanical systems, Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) is uniquely qualified to modify all aspects of the propeller system and the aircraft interface. Therefore, they are the only source that possesses the resources, in-depth technical knowledge and technical data necessary to provide these services within the time required to meet USN requirements.
