Description

The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Network Centric Systems, Fort Wayne, IN for continued development of a Rugged Embedded National Tactical Receiver Device, (RED). USSOCOM requires a small, lightweight, Integrated Broadcast System (IBS) receiver to provide globally deployed Special Operations Forces (SOF) with an en-route capability to receive near-real-time intelligence data, i.e., IBS data, on the changing threat and target environment. This effort will satisfy airborne, maritime, and ground requirements in a single, lightweight package. This effort will continue Raytheon internal Research and Development efforts following the technology demonstration of the Digital Enhanced Broadcast Receiver Appliqu?. Period of performance is expected to be 7 months. See note 22.
