Description
This is a nationwide sources sought notice. This is not an invitation for bid, a request for proposals or other solicitation. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (CDC), National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR), has been responsible for providing funded States with ongoing consultation for effective program planning and management, including assistance in the development of model legislation for statewide cancer registries, assistance in establishing a computerized reporting and data processing system, and assistance in monitoring completeness, timeliness, and quality of data. The NPCR Data Completeness and Quality Audits (DCQA) is an evaluation of the completeness of case reporting and quality of the data, including accuracy and completeness of coding. The objective of this project is to provide an assessment of the completeness of reporting and of the level of quality of the data collected by NPCR-funded central cancer registries with an emphasis on: (1) Existence of appropriate policies and procedures for data collection; (2) Existence of appropriate policies and procedures for data quality assessment; and (3) Assessment of the completeness and quality of data within the central cancer registry. All NPCR funded States are required to participate in an audit of compliance with the NPCR standards on data quality and case completeness every 5 years. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541990 with a size standard of $6.0 million. We are looking for small businesses having the capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements. The small business shall utilize Certified Tumor Registers (CTR) to perform the audit component of this contract. If you are a small business interested in this procurement, you may submit a capability statement that shall include CTR capability and qualification via e-mail to bbiltz@cdc.gov, by Tuesday, April 5, 2005. Capability statements will not be accepted after the due date. Capability statements shall not exceed three (3) standard pages (8.5 x 11 inches). The text shall be single spaced, single-sided, and the pitch type shall not be smaller 11.
