Description

The Veterans Affairs, Augusta, Georgia, (VISN 7), has a sole source requirement to be issued to Laurens County Solid Waste Management, Post Office Box 2011 CSS, Dublin, Georgia 31021 for Landfill Service for its Carl Vinson Medical Center located at Dublin, Georgia. This contract shall provide Landfill Service for the disposal of various materials, which may include hospital type trash, construction and demolition materials, yard debris and other commercial type items. All materials will be transported by VAMC Dublin personnel or by a designated contractor who collects trash at the facility and transports to the Landfill. FAR 6.302 authorizes sole source procedures. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 562212 with a size standard of $10.5M. This procurement will be conducted utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13 in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. This solicitation will be available on or about April 13, 2005. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their services meet VA requirement, to the Contracting Officer or by fax to (478) 274-5585. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requests for hardcopy solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Any and all questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the URL address. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
