Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared per the format in FAR Subpart 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. An award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and no further solicitation will be issued. The office of NOAA Marine Operations Center Pacific located in Seattle, Washington is seeking for a replacement Gyrocompass system for the NOAA Ship David Starr Jordan to replace an aging single unit Gyrocompass system. NOAA MOPS requires the following items: 1.) quantity of 2 each Meridian Standard Gyrocompass 2.) qty of 1 each compass Comparator with Distribution box 3.) qty of 2 each Meridian Step RTU and 4.) qty of 1 each Meridian Dial Repeater. Required FOB destination to Seattle ,WA by July 1, 2005. Evaluation factor- lowest price and the system Shall: 1.Gyro must be IMO compliant. 2.The system must be a capable of a Dual Gyro Setup with comparator to automatically select best gyro output. It must be able to operate from a 24 Volt DC source. 3. Gyro motor must operate dry and be maintenance free. 4. The Gyrocompass system must be able to output a Synchro signal to a Autopilot from a 1:1 Resolver driven directly by the gyrocompass azimuth gimbal and a 400Hz reference voltage generated internally. 5.Must be capable of producing Stepper Repeater information, 6 steps per degree at 70VDC, to operate the present gyro repeaters on board. (external amplifier OK) Gyro must be able to settle out to within 1 degree in less than 1 hour. Vendor must be registered in CCR in order to receive an award.
