- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Clinical Laboratory Testing Services for the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC San Diego), 808 Union Street, San Diego, California 92101-6078. The contract shall consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, equipment, and licensed facilities required to provide clinical laboratory testing services. The contractor shall transport, process, test, monitor, and report test results on specimens submitted by MCC San Diego. Test results shall be provided via printer or other remote printing device within 24 hours, The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period is as follows: 1412 Tests. Due to the volume of information, estimated quantities of specific tests will be provided in the solicitation document. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 19, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is May 19, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-based and Community-based organizations have the right to submit quotations equally with other organizations for contracts which they are eligible.
