Description

FISC – NNSY Maritime Industrial Branch Portsmouth, VA has a requirement for services of two (2) technicians to pump syntactic foam in mud tank in accordance to the requirements of S/A 3922K, which will be provided with solicitation package. Service shall be 210 cubic feet of syntactic material as well as any equipment required to measure, mix and pump or pour the syntactic material into the mud tank. Syntactic foam shall have a max density of 24 lbs per cubic foot. The recommended syntactic filler is Syntac VF-22 as manufactured by Emerson and Cuming, Grace Composite materials OR EQUAL. The required start date of pumping the foam is 14 June 2005 with filling completed by 21 June 2005. Contractor shall provide objective quality evidence of product density of 24 lbs/cubic feet with process used to place foam material in mud tank voids. The NAICS code is 325520 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures as set forth in FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation number is N00181-05-Q-0214. The response date for submission of offers shall be established in the written solicitation.
