Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation, H92242-05-T-0025 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03. The associated NAICS code is 334519 and small business size standard is 500 employees. Line Item 0001 Provide semi-annual inspections of fire fighting equipment on ten Mark V vessels located on Naval Amphib Base Norfolk, Va. The inspection will be performed in accordance with the Fire Detection and Extinguishing System for SOC Craft Mark V S9555-XX-MMA-010, the Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguishing System Test Procedure TA-555-01, and Maintenance Index Page MIP 5552/MV 10-53. Inspection to include: checking all the components to ensure proper mounting and electrical connections, check the system for corrosion, perform the Trouble Isolation Test, and Extinguisher Container Pressure Gauge Switch Test, ensure each flame detector lens is clean, check all the components for chaffing or kinking, check for deterioration of all clamp gromments,check the DXP containers for dents, bulges, scrtches, gouges, damage due to prolong exposure to heat, and the correct pressure reading on the gauge,verify the hydrostatic test is within the manufacturer recommended 5-year interval, weight all nitrogen cylinders with anti-recoil caps in place,check all cartridges for expiration, ensure all locking pins are installed at the remote actuation station verify all the total flood nozzles to ensure the protective blow-off cops are in place, verify the tank side nozzle slots are full of high temperature silicon grease. Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the following provision with their proposals: FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition as well as FAR 52.212-5(DEV) Contract Terms & Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration. DFARS 252.212-7001 (DEV) Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program (APR 2003).
