Description
RH050970020000, NSN 6140-01-288-4332, Battery, Storage, Lead Acid, Wet Charged, Maintenance Free, in accordance with Exide Corp., CAGE: 20038, Part number 31MF-9D, or Oshkosk Truck Corp., CAGE: 45152, P/N 1556400, or Trojan Battery Co., CAGE: 94598, P/N C31-1000. This is being procured as other than full and open competition under 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Unrestricted Procurement. This lead acid battery is a non-commercial item with a 3 month shelf-life. Material Safety Data Sheets and Hazardous Warning Label (Corrosive) are required. This is a solicitation for a proposed Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) with a base year and four option years. The IQC will be for Direct Vendor Delivery only. Paperless Ordering Placement System (POPS) Computer Capability requirement applies. The guaranteed minimum quantity is 1 EA. The estimated annual demand quantity is 216 EA; the maximum annual contract quantity is 432 EA. Requested delivery is 36 days ARO. This solicitation includes a surge requirement for a total surge quantity of 72 EA and contractors will be required to submit a surge plan detailing how they intend to meet both the schedule quantity and the surge quantity requirements. The following terms apply: FOB Destination, Inspection/acceptance Destination, QAP-001. Solicitation may be available for issue on or about May 10, 2005 and close on or about June 10, 2005. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
