Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED. Solicitation number NCNS1000-5-00021 is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The NAICS code for this procurement is 541380. This is a firm fixed price procurement using simplified acquisition procedures. The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA/National Ocean Service?s Center for Coastal Monitoring and Assessment has a requirement for an operation and maintenance system for monitoring and detecting blooms of the harmful algae, Karenia Brevis, along the southwest coast of Florida. The system will consist of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and a configured Karenia detection instrument for use on deployments and fixed platforms.
