Description
Description: The US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is seeking businesses to perform various services in support of Marine and Survey Operations throughout the New York District area. The services will be used from 1 Jun 2005 through 31 M ay 2010. Blanket Purchase Agreements will be issued. Multiple awards are intended. The issuance of a Blanket Purchase Agreement will be in accordance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations. Firms may respond to any or all of the listed services re quired. See the attached sources sought document for instructions regarding response to this survey. DESCRIPTION of SERVICES: Services required include: (1) repair of marine hydraulic systems including motors and pumps in accordance with US Coast Guard and American Bureau of Shipping standards; (2) machinery and hull inspections and testing to maintain t he vessel ABS class as mandated by the Dept of the Army; (3) hauling vessels, changing propellers , welding, replacement of steel and aluminum hull sections, plumbing and painting of marine vessels in accordance with US Coast Guard and ABS standards; (4) h auling vessels, changing propellers , welding, replacement of steel and aluminum hull sections, plumbing and painting of marine vessels in accordance with US Coast Guard and ABS standards; (5) master mechanic for repair and maintenance of marine diesel eng ines and transmissions and standby diesel generator sets; (6) changing propellers , welding, replacement of steel and aluminum hull sections, plumbing and painting of marine vessels in accordance with US Coast Guard and ABS standards; (7) building plumbing , welding and dock repair; troubleshooting, repairs and replacements to 12 VDC, 24 VDC, 32 VDC, 110 VAC and 208 VAC 3 phase marine and land based electrical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, marine heating systems, generator repairs, wiring, ligh ting, shore power, and marine electronics, knowledgeable with US Coast Guard and American Bureau of Shipping regulations; (8) mechanical repairs, welding, and hydraulic support to any and all of our marine vehicles in the field, specialized transport of Amphibious Vehicles to and from project sites with all required transportation permits, emergency repairs and support 24/7; (9) support for office and field crews using computer based data gathering and software support, field support of various software a nd computer systems interfaced together to gather data, support to troubleshoot survey section electronic equipment which include but not limited to Global Positioning Equipment, with appropriate authorization by the manufacturers of the various systems an d software manufacturers; (10) support for office and field crews electronically gathering data using on board systems which can include but not limited to Radar, Sonar, and Depth Finder equipment which utilizes sound waves that must be calibrated and test ed on a regular basis, must be a factory authorized representative for each piece of equipment; (11) support for office and field crews for all other field and office equipment, include but not limited to, Plotters, printers, tape backups, computer periphe rals, provide technical advice for all land and sea data gathering, must be a factory authorized representative for all repairs and possess knowledge of electronic repair equipment such as but not limited to oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers; (12) supp ort for all small boats, trailers, small boat lifts and towing equipment, small craft electronics which include but is not limited to on board radio communication, depth finders, wiring, and all associated small craft equipment, factory authorized represen tative for repairs and installation; (13) support of radio communication equipment, antennas, mounting and correct placement of miscellaneous equipment marine equipment; provide labor, parts, and material to maintain and repair the NY Districts VHF-FM rad io system, the marine VHF-FM radios, the single sideband r adios and associated antennas; (14) preventive maintenance of the security camera system to include the inspection of the system equipment and make such repairs and adjustments and replacements of parts and emergency service upon receipt of notice of the f ailure. Interested parties responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
