Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotes are due to the 55th Contracting Squadron no later than 4pm (CST) Thursday, 5 May 2004. Quotes shall be submitted via e-mail in a Word, Excel, or PDF format to alecia.fay@offutt.af.mil or faxed to (402) 294-7280. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-26. This procurement is set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 451140 and small business size standard are is 500 employess. The government intends to issue a purchase order for the items set forth below, subject to the availability of funds. Item 01: New, Paxman French Horn, Model 23LGDT Qty: 1 each Specifications: -Large Bell -Gold Brass -Detachable Bell -Titatium Rotors -Lacquer Finish -Case -Warranty (at least 2 years) Item 02: New, Paxman French Horn, Model 75LGD Qty: 1 each -Full Triple Horn -Gold Brass -Large Bell -Titanium Rotors -Lacquer Finish -Case -Warranty (at least 2 years) Note: For each instrument, a trial period of 60-90 days is necessary to allow for a player break-in period and to allow the vendor to customize instruments to the players.
