Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command has a requirement for a contract for a base year and four (4) option years for inspection services of the DoD drug testing laboratories worldwide. DoD requires the expertise of credentialed, consultant forensic toxicologists to support the DoD Tri-service drug testing program. The services will insure that the DoD biochemical testing program is forensically sound, scientifically supportable, efficient and cost effective. Offerors must have no contractual, employment, or other relationships with any lement/organizational component(s)of the DoD biochemical testing program to include drug testing laboratories that support the DoD drug testing program and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP). Scope of requirement involves but is not limited to; inspect and evaluate drug testing laboratories that support the DoD drug testing program; provide consultant services regarding drug and alcohol technologies, operations, policies, and procedures; provide litigation support and expert witness services to DoD in support of inspections. A firm fixed price requirements contract is contemplated. The solicitation for this acquisition will be available electronically, and will be posted on the NMLC home page at http://www-nmlc.med.navy.mil/acquisitions/rfp.asp.
