DESC: OC-ALC/LPKPA DIR CONTRACTING/PROPULSION 3001 STAFF DR STE 2AE1 109B TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032. For additional information contact Linda Murphy/LPKPA/(405) 734-8242. Item 0001 is a DISK. NSN: 2840007990111RV. P/N: 794816. Disk – 16th stage with a hollow center bore. It has 77 equally spaced slots of dovetail shape at the outer rim of the disk. The disk is a rotating device that holds compressor blades via dovetail slot fit. It is part of the engine’s high pressure compressor (HPC) and subject to high rotational stress. Tie rods hold the disk to other disks and spacers to form the HPC rotor. Approximate dimensions: 23.5 IN dia., 6 IN center bore. Thickness of disk varies from 0.2-1.0 IN. Material is PWA 1022 Nickel Alloy. Application: TF33. I.A.W. current drawings. Quantity Range MIN 1 – MAX 19 EA. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: February 2006. The approximate issue date of solicitation will be 1 November 2004. The anticipated award date is December 2004. Qualification requirements: Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design can be considered approved sources for this design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the Government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Written quotations are required. To: United Technologies Corp./Pratt & Whitney —Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with United Technologies Corp. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source selection process.
