Description
The Air Mobility Command (AMC) Contracting Flight anticipates issuance of a solicitation on a full and open competition basis for C-9 Pilot Training This requirement will provide academic, cockpit procedures training, and simulator training for pilots gaining Initial Qualification Training (4 Trainees per year), Re-qualification Training (2 Trainees per year), Instructor Pilot Upgrade Training (3 Trainees per year), Senior Officer Training (2 Trainees per year), Annual Refresher/ Mission Oriented Simulator Training (MOST) (42 Trainees per year), and Flight Simulator Time (25 Trainees per year). Initial and Refresher training shall be to the standard that the pilots may receive as Airline Transport pilot (ATP/DC-9 Type Certificate (as applicable). As part of the initial and refresher training, all pilots meeting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prerequisites shall be offered the opportunity to receive an ATP/Type Certification (as applicable). The individual student is responsible for FAA prerequisites. The contractor is responsible for scheduling a FAA designated examiner for the FAA evaluation at no additional cost no additional cost to the Government. If the ATP option is not utilized, simulator tie scheduled for the FAA evaluation shall be devoted to proficiency maneuvers. The training class will normally consist of 2 pilots per class. The resultant contract will be a requirements contract commencing on 1 Oct 2005, with four one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 611512. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. Anticipated issuance date of solicitation is on or about 1 July 2005. No hardcopies of the solicitation will be issued. The solicitation maybe downloaded from the Federal Business Opportunity website at http://www.eps.gov. Verbal request will not be acted upon.
