- Description
- Collective Protection Conference & Exhibition June 21-23, 2005 Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort and Conference Center 1 Old Golf Course Road Monterey, CA 93940 Phone: (831) 372-1234 Reservations: 1(800) 233-1234 Collective Protection (ColPro) 2005 Conference and Exhibition will be held June 21-23, 2005 and is supported by the The Joint Program Office for Collective Protection (JPM-CP) at Hyatt Regency Monterey, Monterey, CA. The worldwide proliferation of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons capabilities, as heightened by recent events, has broadened the range of scenarios in potential of these weapons against U.S. Forces is possible. Additionally, the application of ColPro for Homeland Defense is an expanding area that will also be of interest during this conference. The challenge to government, academia, and industry is to provide innovative technologies, concepts, applications and equipment that can be applied to existing and future Joint Collective Protection systems. This includes advanced air purification technologies, improved environmental systems, improved shelter systems and materials, and optimized associated utilities. Current ColPro operating platforms are already constrained by weight, power, and space, demanding that new or upgraded systems incorporate lightweight material, improved transportability, reduced logistics, reduced power requirements, and miniaturization of standardized/modular components. Participation by industry, academia, government and international personnel is encouraged to foster cooperation in meeting the challenges of future efforts. The rates for the government attendees will be the prevailing 2005 per diem rate (Currently $132*) and $159* for industry. In order to ensure the discounted NDIA rate, please make reservations early and ask for the NDIA Collective Protection Conference. Rooms will not be held after Friday May 20, 2005 and may sell out before then.
