- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of solid waste removal and disposal services for the Federal Medical Center located in Ayers, Massachusetts. Faith-based and Community-based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of award will be approximately October 1, 2005. The contract performance period is anticipated to consist of a base year from date of award (DOA) through 12 months from DOA, with four 12-month option years for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The estimated maximum quantities for the base year are as follows: (1)-32 cubic yard self contained compactor (Government-owned) times 104 estimated hauls; (1)-45 cubic yard break-away compactor (Government-owned) times 52 estimated hauls; (3)-30 cubic yard open-top containers (Government-owned) times a combined total of 24 estimated hauls; and 775 estimated maximum tons of solid waste. The estimated maximum quantities for Option Years #1-4 are the same as those stated for the base year. The solicitation will be made available on or about June 9, 2005, and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is July 1, 2005; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
