Description

The Midwest Area for the Agricultural Research Service of the United States Department of Agriculture intends to issue an award to Illumina, Inc. San Diego, CA 92121 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is for a grant funded research project involving custom services for the analysis of selected SNP loci. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability by June 13 to the address or email below for consideration by the agency. Responses must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. It should be noted that no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days of this notice, an order will be placed with Illumina, Inc.. The NAICS Code/Size is 325414/500 employees.. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items . There is no solicitation package available. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
