Description

The GLAC (Great Lakes Acquisition Center) intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the period of July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006 (with three one-year options exercised at the government?s discretion) for a one year subscription to Ovid Technologies, Inc., intranet package, intranet bundle, for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Pharmacy Benefits Management, Hines Illinois, including the following databases: Evidence Based Medicine Reviews, American Journal of Psychiatry, British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Drug Safety, Drugs, Drugs & Aging, Epilepsia, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, Pharmaco Economics, Ovid User License (Online). The Government believes that Ovid Technologies, Inc., is the only manufacture that will satisfy the agency requirements. NAICS 511140 will be used. This is sole source procurement under the simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone request will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements my give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to Willie Forrest, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Milwaukee, WI. 53295, or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiations with Thompson Micromedex.
