Description
The International Boundary and Water Commission, United States and Mexico, United States Section, (USIBWC) has a requirement for a firm-fixed price contract for 15,000 tons of flexible base material in accordance with the requirements of ?Texas Department of Transportation, 1993 Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance of Highways, Streets and Bridges? for Item 247 Flexible Base, Type A or Type C, Grade 6, Measurement Class 2. The flexible base material shall be crushed or uncrushed as necessary to meet the contract requirements, and shall consist of durable coarse aggregate particles and binding materials. The Contractor shall deliver and place (spread) the base material with ?Belly Dump? trucks along the center of the USIBWC levee roads located in the vicinity of Anthony and Hatch, Dona Ana County, New Mexico. The performance period is for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after contract award. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Estimated issuance date of Request for Quote (RFQ) IBM05Q0024 is June 20, 2005 and responses are to be received by 4:00 pm local time on June 30, 2005. Requests for RFQ IBM05Q0024 must be submitted in writing to the International Boundary and Water Commission, United States Section, 4171 North Mesa, C-100, El Paso, Texas 7902-1441, or facsimile to (9l5) 832-4192, or e-mail message to irmagurrola@ibwc.state.gov, no telephone requests will be accepted. Requests must include business name, point of contact, address, telephone number (include area code), and RFQ number. This requirement is not set-aside for small business concerns, all responsible sources, if timely received, shall be considered.
