Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Alaska Science Center, has a requirement for 1) an estimated maximum amount of 8,600 gallons of Bulk Jet A Fuel; 2) Jet A in Sealed 55-gallon drums, 4 each. Jet fuel is being purchased for a remote helicopter-supported field operation based out of the Taylor Mountains Mine, Alaska. Technical Specification for Jet A Barrel Fuel -- the 55 gallon drums must be new, not reconditioned. The Bulk Jet A Fuel will be picked up and delivered, by a USGS arranged source, to the air taxi located at Arctic Circle Air in Bethel, Alaska, for transport to the remote camp. Bulk fuel will be picked up in increments of a minimum of 400 gallons through the period of performance. Barrel Fuel is to be delivered by the contractor to Arctic Circle Air on 06/24/2005. Because the air taxi is located in Bethel, Alaska, the purchase of this fuel is restricted to the local area. The period of performance is 06/23/2005 through 08/05/2005. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date for the RFQ (05WRQQ0135) is on or about June 8, 2005.
