Description

Military Hospitals- (Army, Navy, and Air Force) TRICARE Region Europe is considering standardizing and establishing a Regional Incentive Agreement(s)(RIAs) for Endomechanicals: Trocar Supplies. This is not a request for bids but an invitation to pa rt icipate in a product line review process that will result in a selection of vendor(s) to provide this product line to MTFs within the European Region. Vendors must be able to provide a full line of product and meet regional product volume requirements; pr ovide representatives and product for vendor demonstrations at no charge to the government; and conduct product in-services for medical facility staff as needed. A list of clinical criteria and instructions will be provided to vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers who are willing to participate. These vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers must be holders of a Distribution And Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), distribute products through the DSCP Prime Vendor (PV) program, and carry a full line of product for the items being considered. A company must be a DAPA Holder to participate in our standardization process. Fo r additional information on DAPA, you may call Mr. John Charalabidis at the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia at (215) 737-7124. 2. The review process leading to a selection of vendor (s) upon which to standardize will take into consideration, but not be limited to, the following technical aspects that must be addressed: a. Vendor name and address b. Is your company a Manufacturer or a distributor of the product line c. Company has a DAPA Number (please provide) or is currently applying for a DAPA Number d. Are your products listed on the Federal Supply Schedule? e. Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor f. Do you classify your products with Owens classification codes? g. Are your products FDA approved? h. Under what standards are your products manufactured? i. What testing was used to support the efficacy of your products? j. Does your company manufacture/distribute a full line of disposable self reducing trocars, including long trocars? If so, list the types and sizes, item nomenclature, Universal Product Number (UPN), Item Product Number/Catalog Number, and cross referenc e available to competitive products? k. What type of materials are your trocars made from? l. Is your product latex free? m. Do your seals allow adaptability to all size scopes/instruments? n. What if any disposal issues are there? o. Do you use non toxic, color fast dyes for labeling your products? p. Packaging features: Expiration date visible? Lot number? Shelf life in years? Color coded by size? q. Length of time product has been on the market? r. Have there been safety alerts for your trocars or reducers? s. Company has the ability to service the entire Region? t. What is the return goods policy? u. Any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group? If yes, please list dates and duration length, cause, and resolution. v. Do you offer clinical support? w. Does your company provide customer service 24/7? x. Customer service phone num ber(s) and name of product representative for each account or division. y. What types of educational tools/materials do you have for the product line?
