- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Code 4.5.8 at St. Inigoes, MD has a requirement for the procurement of 2 each SUNAIR RT-9000A HF/SSB Tranceivers, 2 each SUNAIR F-9800 PrePost Selectors, and 2 each SUNAIR CU-9125 Antenna Couplers. The government intends to procure these components on a sole source basis from SUNAIR Electronics, Inc., 3005 SW 3rd Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33315. On SUNAIR is uniquely qualified to provide the required radio components. These components must be compatible with existing Expeditionary Command, Control, and Connectivity (EC3) Modules already deployed in the field. SUNAIR specifically designs the RT9000A, F9800 pre-post selector and the CU-9125 antenna coupler to work together. No other companies parts are compatible with these three or allow the EC3 project to function properly. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 3334220 with a size standard of 750 people. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses received by 3:30 PM EST on 20 June 2005 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether it will initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
