- The U. S. Postal Service intends to award one or more Indefinite Quantity Architect/Engineer contracts for design, document preparation and contract administration of individual projects at USPS owned and/or leased facilities throughout southeastern Tennessee. Project types include environmental assessments of all types for existing and leased facilities, such as, underground storage tank investigations, hazardous and solid waste management, identification of hazardous/toxic materials in existing buildings, remedial actions, permitting, health risk assessments, site selection evaluations studies, floodplan and wetland analysis/investigations, historical, architectural and archaeological investigations, traffic and utility impact assessments, storm water and groundwater resources planning, mitigation and permitting, zoning and land use compatibility study and air quality consulting. The contract for environmental services will be for two years with a guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000. The contract may be renewed for three one-year periods. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $250,000. The total contract amount cannot exceed $5,000,000. The primary user of this contract will be the Facilities Service Office located in Lawrenceville, GA but domiciled offices in the Southeast area will also use this contract. This contract is to covers the Southeast Facilities Service area, which includes the following states, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and a small part of South Carolina. Firms that have the qualifications to perform the services described herein are invited to submit two (2) copies each of completed SF 330 ?Architect-Engineer Questionnaire? for itself and for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above not later than July 19, 2005. The selection will be conducted with the use of the submitted SF 330. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on its SF 330 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Firms must have a minimum of two registered egineers, have a minimum of two years Autocadd experience, and must be able to provide the services of at least one of each of the following disciplines: mechanical engineering, structural engineering, and civil engineering. Any of the engineering disciplines may be provided through outside consultant firms. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with foregoing requirements in the following order of preference: (1) Southeastern United States (states listed above) and (2) outside the Southeast area. There is no restriction on the geographical location of consultants. Firms must provide proof of or demonstrate the ability to obtain errors and omissions insurance, minimum of $200,000 per claim, with submittals (two copies). It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon, or resulting from, award of this contract. No other general notification of this project will be made. Submittals will not be retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals. ONLY OFFERS SUBMITTED BY U S POSTAL SERVICE OR HAND DELIVERED WILL BE CONSIDERED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SOLICITATION. SUBMITTALS RECEIVED BY ANY OTHER FORM OF DELIVERY WILL BE REJECTED.
