- This sources sought is a request for information prior to drafting and releasing any resultant solicitation. The information contained in this sources sought notification is based on the best and most current information available to date, is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. Any significant changes will be provided in subsequent synopsis, if required. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) is seeking potential sources, large and small businesses capable of providing full hardware and software maintenance support for the RS/6000 AIX servers. The full maintenance support shall include both on-site and telephonic technical support, as required by DSCA?s Network Operation Support staff. Also, this support shall include both on-site configuration management/consultant support services and emergency off-hours support. This support is required to ensure the full accessibility; functionality and availability of the DSCA?s mission critical information systems supporting DSCA?s senior management and user community. SPECIFIC TASKS: The contractor shall be capable of providing support and services to include; 1 - AIX/RS 6000 Telephone Support. The contractor shall provide telephone support as required by the DSCA Network Operation Support staff within 6 hours of initial call 100% of the time. This organization is 12x5 and calls placed on Friday, weekends and Holidays may be responded to on the following workday. 2 - AIX & RS/6000 Technical Assistance. The contractor shall be capable of providing on-site Software Engineer Support as required by the DSCA Network Operation Support staff 12 hours of initial call 100% of the time. This organization is 12x5 and calls placed on Friday, weekends and Holidays may be responded to on the following workday. Software Engineer Support shall include both prime shift support and off-hour support and shall resolve all calls within 24 hours of initial call 100% of the time. Task 3 - RS/6000 Hardware Maintenance Assistance. The contractor shall provide on-site Hardware Engineer Support as required by the DSCA Network Operation Support staff 12 hours of initial call 100% of the time. This organization operates 12hrs, 5 days a week and calls placed on Friday, weekends and Holidays may be responded to on the following workday. Engineer Support shall include both prime shift support and off-hour support and shall resolve all calls within 24 hours of initial call 100% of the time. Hardware Engineer Support shall include all of DSCA?s RS/6000 servers. In addition, to assist in the acquisition strategy development, please respond to the following questions: 1) Is your business small business [Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc]? 2) Provide a list of customers (Government/non-Government) within the past 5 years highlighting similar work performed. Include contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, and point of contact/address/and phone numbers and a brief description of the work performed. 3) Provide information relative to past performance that demonstrates the ability to provide ALL capabilities noted in tasks 1-3 above. Other pertinent information: E-mail responses without the aforementioned information will not be recognized as valid. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS MUST RESPOND TO THIS SYNOPSIS VIA E-MAIL. TELEPHONIC REQUEST FOR SOLICITATIONS AND OR INFORMATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR RETURNED. Submit responses no later than July 6, 2005, 10:00 A.M. EST. Your response is limited to 10 pages. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The Government reserves the right to conduct oral capabilities demonstrations that will be scheduled at a later date. This is not a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract as a result of the notice or pay for any information received.
