- The Social Security Administration, New York Regional Office, seeks licensed physicians and a speech language pathologist to work as independent contractors reviewing Social Security Disability Claims. The required physician specialties are psychiatry, psychology, internal medicine, cardiology, special senses, pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics, and pulmonolgy. There is no patient contact. Services are as needed, (contractors must be available for at least 8 hours per week) are performed on-site at the Federal Building in Manhattan, NY. Contracts are for a bease period of approximately 4 months, plus four one-year option periods. The solicitation will be issued on approximately June 24, 2004 and may be downloaded at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation may be requested from the points of contact listed in this announcement. All such requests must be made in writing. This is a 100% small business set-aside, with NAICS codes 621111 and 621112. All responsible individuals and small business concerns may submit an offer which shall be considered.
