Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a Solicitation Announcement and is not a Request for Proposal and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. The purpose of this So urces Sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified Certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, Hubzone Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms relative to the North American Industry Classific ation Code (NAICS) 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $28 Million. The estimated price for this procurement is between $1 Million and $5 Million. Pursuant to LIMITATION ON SUBCONTRACTING, FAR 52.219-14 (b) (3), General construction. The concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. To make appropriate acquisitions for the above project, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis and possib le future projects, as determined to be in the best interest of the Government. Brief Description of Principal Items of Work: This work involves construction of a steel bulkhead and timber dolphins; removal and re-installation of stone protection; placemen t of concrete and sod; and painting of steel structures. Contractor will be required to commencement work 15 days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. The Completion Time for this project is 180 Calendar days. Qualifications: Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall indicate s pecialized experience and technical competence in: Construction of a Boat Basin. The evaluation will consider overall experience. Provide documentation for your firm on past similar efforts as a prime contractor. 6. Submission Requirements: Firms submitti ng responses shall present their information in a matrix format showing contracts they have performed. The matrix shall show the most recent five projects that prove you can meet the qualification criteria listed above, with contract number, project locati on, description of work requirements, contact and phone number for each effort, etc. Firms should also indicate all applicable personnel and sub-contractors proposed to work on the contract. Proof of the Small Business Administration (SBA) registration 8(a ) and Hubzone shall be provided with this response. Firms responding to this sources sought announcement, who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be used to help the Government make the acquisition decision, which is the int ent of this sources sought announcement.
