- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Attached, please find three files: a Request for Quote (RFQ / SF-18) (PDF) file and two (2) Word documents that contain applicable commercial clauses FAR 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 (please note, you must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award) and FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications (reps and certs). The reps and certs should be completed and submitted with quotes. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The RFQ number is SSA-RFQ-05-1584. The associated NAICS code is 444190 and the associated size standard is $6 million. The Social Security Administration requires 471 cartons (each carton contains 8 pieces or 160 sq. ft.) of 1.5 in x 48 in x 60 in Celotex Capaul Series # 1465 Open Plan square edge lay in fiberglass acoustical ceiling tile or Armstrong Optimal Open Plan acoustical ceiling tile or equivalent with the following specifications: substrate material shall be fiberglass; surface texture shall be very fine, soil-resistant, impact resistant, scratch resistant, 2ml-3ml washable Vinyl surface with CAC backing; the color shall be white; acoustics NCR .95-1.05, AC 210, CAC 25-29 (with foil backing); light reflectivity shall be .84-.89; fire resistance rating shall be Class A Flame Spread 25 or under; and classification shall be Type XII, Form 2, Pattern E. Delivery shall be FOB destination; delivery shall be within 90 days after receipt of order (ARO) with 144 cartons going to the Social Security Administration?s Middle River Warehouse, 2800 Eastern Blvd., Baltimore, Maryland 21220 and 327 cartons to be delivered to Social Security Administration?s Metro West Building, 300 N. Greene St., Baltimore, MD 21201. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order. Quotes shall address all requirements in this combined synopsis/solicitation and failure to address a specification/requirement shall result in a quote that is ineligible for award. SSA anticipates awarding one purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis solicitation. Quotations will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106-2, Evaluation of Quotations of Offerors. Award will be made based on technically acceptable, lowest priced quotation. All interested vendors must submit a quotation and completed reps and certs no later than 4:00 PM, EST, 07/14/2005.
