Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: TR-355 Transducers (QTY. 4). The transducers shall meet the requirements of the Critical Item Product Specification (CIPS) number 6396636. If the contractor has not previously supplied the TR-355 transducers to NUWCDIVNPT, they must demonstrate that the units meet all the performance requirements of the CIPS by completing all First Article Testing. The Government will not cover the cost of the First Article Testing for this requirement. Required delivery is one year after date of award, F.O.B. Destination NAVSEA DETACHMENT, WILLIAMSBURG, VA. NAICS Code is 334511; Size standard is 750 Employees. The formal solicitation is expected to be released the week of July 25, 2005 under N66604-05-Q-4948. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government?s requirements, (2) Price, and (3) Past Performance.
