Description
1) This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Purchase Request F1W3F25195A100 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAR Circular 2005-04. 4) The solicitation is unrestricted full and open. The NAICS Code is 324121; Size Standard: 500 employees. 5) DESCRIPTION: Elmendorf AFB has a requirement for the following asphalt mixtures. 1.) Muni-E Mix (City C), Est. 1000 tons 2.) Muni-D Mix (City D), Est. 250 tons 3.) State Type II Mix, Est. 1000 tons 4.) State Typs III Mix. Est. 150 tons 5.) 3/8 Minus Driveway Mix- Est. 50 tons 6.) Aviation Mix- Est. 100 tons 7.) Cold Mix- Est. 214 tons The specified estimated quanities must be available for government from date of contract award through 30 Sep 2005. 6) 3 CES Horizontal Repair Shop requires test results of all material in accordance with the specifications for each type of mixture listed above. Daily Quality Control test reports shall be provided upon request showing that the materials meet specifications. 7) DELIVERY: FOB ORIGIN. Vendor is responsible for loading into a 10-ton dump truck. Minimum order of 50 tons for Saturday and Sunday hours. Standard hours of operation are 7:00am ? 6:00pm Monday through Friday. The government will provide a one-hour notice prior to picking up product Monday through Friday, a 24-hour notice prior to picking up product on Saturday, and 48-hour notice prior to picking up product on Sunday. Vendor must be located within a driveable 20-mile radius of Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. 8)FAR 52.212-1-Instruction to Offerors, applies to this solicitation. 9) This solicitation incorporates 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items. Award will be base upon lowest price/technically acceptable offer. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussion. 10) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Alt 1, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items with Alternate 1 with the offer.
