Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Purchase Order to the American College of Surgeons (ACS), 633 North Saint Clair Street, Chicago, IL 60611. The authority for this sole source FAR 6.302-1. The American College of Surgeons (ACS) developed a nationally representative sample of U.S. Trauma Centers that provides data on treated trauma patients. The information contained in the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB)sample has implications for many areas including epidemiology, injury control, research, education, acute care, and resource allocation. Additional data collection and analysis activities are required to allow researchers the ability to make statistically valid inferences about patients cared for in Level I and II and II trauma centers in the U.S. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement and give written notice to the Contracting Officer / Specialist within 15 calendar days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
