Description

Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, and transportation for full preventive maintenance inspections and repair services for the Mail Handling Equipment at the Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, located in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This contract includes a base year (one year from date of award), with four one-year renewal options that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The total contract period shall not exceed five years. This procurement will be conducted utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13 in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available on or about August 5, 2005. RFQ 247-0019-06 is advertised as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns with a NAICS Code 811219 and a size standard of $6.0M. Only offers from those firms regularly established in the business of providing this type service will be considered. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested Offerors may obtain an electronic copy of the solicitation free at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
